Fall PlayThe Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time -$50 Performance Fee for performers (not crew) - 5F, 5M

  • Informational Meeting: Monday, Sept 9th 2-2:30 for cast & crew - Auditorium
    • Explore the plot of the play, sign out a script, discuss rehearsal schedule
  • Auditions - Mon, Sept 16th 2:15-5:00 pm& Thursday, Sept 19th 2:15-5:00 pm - Aud
    • For the audition on 9/16 - prepare a memorized monologue or tell a personal story 2-3 minutes. After everyone does their monologue/story we will read some scenes from the script.On 9/19 - We will play some improv games andcontinue reading scenes from the script.
  • Callbacks: Friday, Sept 20th 2:15-5:00 pm (if necessary)
  • Rehearsals: Mondays 2:15-4:15 , Wednesdays 3-4:15 pm, & Thursdays 2:15-4:15 pm starting Monday, Sept. 23rd.There will be a few Tuesday rehearsals (10/15, 11/5 - 3:00-4:15 pm & tech rehearsal on 11/12 - 2-6:00).
  • Tech Crew & Cast: Stagecraft is not running during the day for this show.Together we need to design and build this show after school and on weekends.We will meet on Tuesdays and Fridays from 3-4:15 in the auditorium and add Saturday tech days on Oct 26, Nov 2 and Nov 9 (time TBD).
  • Tech week rehearsals for cast and crew: Friday, November 8th 2-6 pm, Saturday, November 9th 2-9pm, Sunday, November 10th 2-9pm & Monday, Nov 11th (Veteran’s Day) - 2-9pm plus Tuesday Nov 12th through Thursday, November 14th 2-6 pm
  • Performances: Friday, Nov 15 & Saturday, Nov 16th @ 7pm(Cast and crew are to arrive at 5:30 pm)

Mattress Fund-raiser Meeting/Ice Cream Social - October 3rd MHS Aud 6:30-7:00pm

Select Choir & Concert Choir – Southeast District Auditions & Festival Information

  • Practice sessions in auditorium: See Mrs. Newton to make an appointment
  • Auditions for Mrs. Newton:
  • Tues, October 29th or Tues, November 5th 2-3:00 pm (sign up for a time)- location TBD
  • Auditions @ King Philip Regional High School: $15 audition fee (bus transportation will be provided) Saturday, November 23rd (Time - in the morning - TBD)
  • Southeast District Music Festival Rehearsal/Concert (location TBA)- Bus transportation will be provided.

Friday,  January 10th (all day rehearsal)

Saturday, January 11th (morning rehearsal, concert usually at 2pm - you will need a ride home after the concert)

Fall Concert Rehearsals: All choir members - Friday, Oct 25 2-3pm (no bus transportation) & Monday, October 28th 2-3pm (auditorium) - choir members must attend both rehearsals.

Halloween Concert:  Concert Choir, Select Choir, After School Choir (plus MHS band, Orchestra, Dance & middle school groups) - Tuesday, October 30th (arrive at 5pm - earlier to decorate a door!) MHS auditorium.

Holiday Concert Rehearsals - After School, Select & Concert Choirs Monday, December 2nd  & Monday, December 9th 2-3pm (both rehearsals are mandatory)

Holiday Concert: All choir members & crew - Tuesday, December 10th 7pm - MHS Auditorium. Wear concert attire. Arrive at 5:30 pm

Council on Aging Holiday Luncheon: All choir members - Friday, December 6th 12-2pm.  Hope Street, Mansfield.  We will walk (weather permitting) to the COA in concert attire (wear comfortable shoes/boots and carry your dress shoes for the walk). We will return to the school before the end of the school day.  Bring a bag lunch.

Caroling at Home – All choir members & crew - Monday, December 16th 7:30am-2:45pm in the MHS auditorium. We will perform five concerts throughout the day for elementary school children. Wear concert attire. Plan to take the late bus (the last concert will end at approx. 2:45pm)

All State Auditions & Festival - For choir students who qualify through SE District Audition.

  • All State Auditions - Saturday, January 25th (Shrewsbury HS - Time TBA). Bus transportation will be provided.$30 fee to audition.
  • All State Festival - Thursday - Saturday (March 5-7) at the World Trade Center, Boston, MA. (fee to participate - TBD) - Bus transportation will not be provided.
  • All State Concert - Saturday, March 7th @ 1pm - Symphony Hall, Boston, MA.

Spring Musical - Auditions and rehearsals will take place in the auditorium - $50 Performing Arts Fee (for cast, not crew - if you were in the fall play, you do not have to pay again)

  • Audition prep - Thursday, Jan 30 2-3pm & Mon Feb 3rd 3-4:30 pm
  • Auditions – Tues Feb 4th 2:15- 6 pm (Vocal audition - sign up for a time) & Wed Feb 5th 3-6pm dance/read - be prepared to stay the entire time.
  • Callbacks – Thurs, Feb 6th 2:15-6 pm & Fri, Feb 7th 2-5 pm (if necessary)
  • Rehearsal Schedule – Mon 2:15-5 pm, Wed 3-5 pm, Thurs 2:15-5 pm starting Wed, Feb 12th & Sundays 5-8:30 pm starting March 8th (no rehearsal 4/12 or 4/19 or during April break except we will rehearse on Sunday, April 26th & I may do some rehearsals with principals depending on their availability)
  • Tech week – Fri May 1st 2-6pm, Sat May 2 2-9 pm, Sun May 3 2-9pm, Mon May 4 4:30-9 pm, Tues May 5 4:30-9 pm& Wed May 6 (final dress rehearsal) 4:30-10 pm
  • Performance Dates – Thursday,May 7th @ 7:00 pm; Friday,May 8th @ 7:00 pm;Saturday,May 9th @ 1pm & 7pm - strike and cast party following the show.

MA Thespians Drama Festival - Saturday, Feb 8th all day - participate in drama, dance and musical theatre workshops all day and/or watch other schools perform one act plays. $25 (includes bus transportation)

MHS/QMS Choir Rehearsal - Mon Feb 24th - full choir rehearsal to prepare for the concert. 2-3 pm in the MHS auditorium.

MHS/QMS Choral Concert and METG One Act Play - All choir members and METG cast and crew. Thursday, February 27th 7pm - MHS Auditorium.  Choir members, cast, and crew arrive at 5:30 pm

METG One Act Play Festival - Competition dates: Prelims - Saturday, Feb 29th; Semi Final - Saturday, March 14th: State Finals - March 26-29.

MICCA Festival - For Select & Concert Choir (time and place TBD) either April 3, 4, 5th.  Wear concert attire. The date/time will be announced the first week of January. This is a mandatory event for both concert choir and select choir members.

Spring Concert Rehearsal - For Select & Concert Choir members - Thursday, May 14th &  Monday May 18th 2-3pm - MHS Auditorium (attendance at both rehearsals are mandatory).

Spring Concert Thursday, May 21st  @ 7pm (choirs and crew called at 5:30pm) - MHS Auditorium. Wear concert attire.

Graduation @ Xfinity Center– Sunday, June 7th 1pm – Comcast Center Stage – Senior select and concert choir members only - arrive at 11:45am

Tony NightPerforming Arts Awards Night – June 14th at 5pm - MHS Auditorium
