PSAT Info for Students Who Took
the October 2016 Test
College Board recently sent emails to students who took the PSAT with access codes to see their scores online. Over vacation we received the hard copy reports.
On Friday, January 6th all students who took the October 2016 PSAT will be called to an assembly in the auditorium. During this assembly counselors will go over how students can access their reports and how to interpret their individual exam results. At this time they will also receive their exam books and the hard copy of their test results.
How to access your scores online:
Students will be sent an access code via an email from College Board. This email will also have directions on how students can access their report. If your student does not receive the email with their access code, they can pick up their code in the Guidance Department from their counselor after school.
Classes of 2018 & 2019
College Board is once again allowing schools to administer the PSATon Saturday and Mansfield High School will be offering the exam on Saturday, October 15th. Sophomores and juniors are invited to participate in the practice SAT test. We strongly encourage all of our sophomores and juniors who are planning to attend college, as part of their post secondary plan, to participate in the PSAT this year to familiarize themselves with the test. The cost of the test is $28 to cover the cost of the exam and test administration. Sign up for the PSAT takes place in the Guidance Office; students should bring $28 (cash or check made out to Mansfield High School) to Mrs. MacKillop at the front desk in guidance. Late registration will be accepted based on test availability and there is a $5 late fee.
For Juniors this exam is also the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship Program. The exam is only given in October, so there will not be another opportunity to take this test during the 2016-17 school year. If you have any questions about the PSAT please contact your child's school counselor.
