Animal Shelter fundraiser

MHS's Entrepreneurship students successfully ran a small business selling Mansfield winter hats during the fall trimester. When the project was completed, they donated $300 to the Mansfield Animal Shelter, and made two microloans to aspiring low-income and underserved entrepreneurs through Kiva.org. Since the inception of this "small business" project, students have donated over $5,500 to local charities and organizations, while also funding future trimesters of Entrepreneurship students to complete the same project. The project was born from a grant awarded by the Mansfield Education Foundation to increase classroom innovation and authentic learning experiences.
